THE HOUSEHOLD MOVE HAS MORE THAN ONE CHECKLIST

Moving in Volo? Keep the handover organized.

Second Chance provides moving and junk removal in Volo. While you decide what travels to the next home, keep the property handover tasks on a separate list. Furniture, remaining unwanted items and utility arrangements each need an owner and a confirmed next step.

A moving inventory and a property handover notebook serve different purposes.

LOCAL PLANNING NOTE

Volo has a separate channel for utility-account requests.

Volo’s Action Line includes account setup, utility-bill questions and water or garbage-service requests. Use the appropriate village channel to resolve account details alongside the household move.

A moving quote does not update your village account. Ask Village Hall about final readings or new-account arrangements for your address, and give Second Chance the separate dates when belongings can be collected and received.

Give the last week three clear checkpoints.

Settle the furniture decisions

Walk through the home with everyone who owns belongings there. Mark pieces for the new address, pieces staying by agreement and items approved for removal. Keep undecided items off the removal list.

Prepare the last usable room

Reserve a place for everyday essentials while packing continues. Do not fill the only route to an upstairs bed or basement cabinet with sealed boxes; include those carrying routes in the estimate.

Confirm who completes the handover

Identify who will meet the crew, approve the load and check the rooms afterward. If a closing date changes, contact us before relying on the original moving appointment.

Describe what remains after the main load leaves.

A nearly empty home can still contain a few substantial jobs: a dresser in a back room, shelves in the garage or boxes that never received a destination label. List these individually instead of calling them the leftovers.

For a move and a removal request together, specify which items belong to each service. We can discuss the scope and timing without assuming every item will travel on the same appointment. Include the destination town and any stairs or loading restrictions there.

A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE YOU CALL

Volo handover details worth confirming

Does booking movers update my Volo utility account?

No. Contact the Village separately through its utility-account channels. Second Chance’s appointment covers the moving or removal work agreed in your quote.

Can I ask for help with items left after a move?

Yes. Send a list of the remaining items, their rooms and the access available. The team will confirm the requested removal scope and an available appointment.

What if the buyer wants some furniture left behind?

Identify those pieces before the job and keep them separate from the approved moving and removal lists. Make sure the person meeting the crew knows what must stay.
